Raiding guide
Introduction
This guide discusses the best option and some alternatives for your equipment to be a strong DD (Damage Dealer).
The best options cost a lot of money, make sure to be prepared to spend not just some millions but billions for a single item.
Always keep in mind that damage in Olympus stacks multiplicative, the best weapon on the server means nothing if you don’t own a fairy, so balance your expenses.
Passives
First of all you need passive skills as they buff you anywhere you go.
Krem skills, found in the NosCamp Cave, learned from Doggo and A6.1, A6.2, A7 and A8 books are the main passive skills you need to buff your base damage.
Your damage increases with corresponding stat as follow:
- Intelligence - Magic damage and magic defense.
- Agility - Ranged damage, ranged defense and evasion.
- Strength - Melee damage and melee defense.
All the other books like hp, mp or defenses are nice to have as they increase your survivability but they don’t increase your damage.
You are able to see the full list of all Passives here.
Tattoos
- Crit based classes: Attack Stance and Piercing Gaze.
- Mages: Arcane Wisdom/ Snakebite and Attack Stance.
Upgrade Attack Stance first.
Titles
Titles make up a small part of your damage, everyone gets them and it only takes a few clicks to equip one.
By hovering at the bosses icon next to his name you can check what class he is therefore which title is important.
- Zenith - Probably the most used title as all A6 and A7 bosses are High-level monsters.
- Templar Robin Hood Arch Mage Black Belt - Valehir and Alzanor are dragons, you need the class specific 5% damage boost here as zenith doesn’t work on dragons.
- Saviour of NosVille - Very small use case but Ibrahim and Morcos are humans.
- Indefatigable - Mostly run on Destroyer and Berserker. Speed to lever or debuff faster is always nice to have.
Pets
There are many different answers here. The most used pets are as follow:
- Vessel Event pets - These pets increase your damage by a flat amount. While they aren’t as consistent as the others it’s fun to play because your damage spikes a ton when the effect triggers.
Only use them combined with the respective Vessel Event Hat. - Pix - The go-to res drain pet. It’s strongest in raids where your elemental damage outperforms your physical damage. Really strong on mages.
- Lupis - It increases your damage while providing crit chance. Strongest on crit based classes as mages, other than dg, cannot crit.
- Baby Panda - Some raids use provokes, mostly Vale and Alza, to clear mobs hordes faster. A few Pandas are a must-have for the team. Panda is also the best pet for farming right now.
Cheaper options
- Pirate Bushi (Shadow) - They are like a Mini-Pix for a specific element.
- Cowboy Bushtail - Alternative to Lupis, depending on your build it’s possibly even better than Lupis.
- Otter - Weaker version of Panda.
Partner
The best partners right now are Pir (mage), Pur (archer) and Par (swordsman). They increase your damage and move the fastest.
Other than that Erdimien, Jennifer and Frigg are a little faster than the base partners.
PSPs
This one gets asked a lot. The easiest way to figure out which PSP is best or what to buy first is to ask yourself: Which raids am I going to join? If the answer is: All Raids!!! You need to be prepared to spend money on more than one.
As for PSPs there are 3 categories:
damage Amplifiers, Resistance Drainers and Special PSPs.
The skills of the PSPs need to be on Rank S to be useful in Raids.
Class specific
The first PSPs has a 100% chance to increase the damage by 20%.
The second has a 25% chance to increase the damage by 20%.
Combining these two effects leads a 100% chance to increase damage by 40%.
Swordsman
- One-Winged Perti Specialist Partner Card 2nd Skill
- Palina Puppet Master's Specialist Partner Card 1st Skill
Archer
- Sheriff Chloe's Specialist Partner Card 1st Skill
- Daniel Ducats 2nd Skill
Mage
- Laurena's Specialist Partner Card 3rd Skill
- Harlequin's Specialist Partner Card 3rd Skill
Resistance Drainers
Reduce the specific element resistance by a certain %.
-
Water: Freya's Specialist Partner Card 2nd Skill
-
Fire: Harlequin's Specialist Partner Card 3rd Skill
-
Light: Guardian Lucifer's Specialist Partner Card or Archangel Lucifer's Specialist Partner Card 3rd Skill
-
Shadow: Archdaemon Amon's Specialist Partner Card or Amon's Specialist Partner Card 2nd Skill
In every raid you need at least one of those, depending of the raid element.
Specials
- Akhenaton the Cursed Pharaoh 3rd Skill
Increase target elemental damage taken by 10%.
Very good for 15 or 20 player raids as the debuff is aoe and lasts long.
However, the damage boost is low.
- Mad March Hare Specialist Partner Card 2nd Skill
Test Subject Specialist Partner Card 3rd Skill
Increase your own damage by 15% for a small period.
In A8 raids you normally don’t play them at all, since other debuffers affects all the team instead of only one person.
- Little Princess Venus 2nd Skill
Having all the skills in S grade gives the owner 200 enhanced damage.
Debuff acts like a potential short damage amplifier for all classes on top of their respective PSPs.
However, debuff only has 60% chance to trigger.
Hitting debuff in a raid can melt the boss but it’s only an extra so you need the other debuffs first.
What PSP to go for
As a new player, you'll more likely be interested in Kirollas first.
Think of your friend group or family, what classes they play, what PSP they already have and which one would help them the most.
3 to 5 PSPs are a nice arsenal to help every team in every raid.
Example
You start as DG debuffer in Kirollas, most teams use Scouts as DDs.
You decide to buy Chloe to assist the DDs.
After some investment in your character you want to play DD yourself.
As a mage you'll shine with Archmage or Seer and need a mage debuff PSP.
You buy Harlequin next, which will be assisting mages in your raids.
You notice most raid teams have issue having Lucifer and decide to buy it to support them.
Mask
- Dragon Knight Mask is very expensive but the best by far.
Cheaper options
- X Mask has a low damage boost and some utility.
- Monocle is an even cheaper alternative to but only for Mages.
Hat
- Precious Dragon Horn Crown is, alongside , the best in slot but is also very expensive.
Cheaper options
- Cowboy Hat is decent and you can get him from Teoman for 2.400 gold. However, it's useless for mages.
- Penguin Hat is really low alternative for mages.
Fairy
- Fernon fairies are the best in slot.
As they are really expensive you should get them very late in your build path. - Divine fairies are the second best option.
Weaker but worth the cost for sure, you can even use them to craft fernon fairies.
Main weapon shell
Depending on the raids you do the stats you look for can differentiate. I would divide raid equipements into A7 and A8. Where A8 doesn’t need monster damage (because the bosses and avatars are dragons) and are therefore a little cheaper.
The best options are, in order, as follow:
- Increase Overall Attack: X% - Increases your damage everywhere: Bosses, minibosses and small mobs. It’s the best stat by far and I would almost only recommend this as your S-stat. The higher the better, while 16% is the max.
- Increase Damage to High-Level Races: X% - This is the only exception of playable S-stats. While it doesn’t increase small mob damage it’s still really good versus bosses. I would only play it in combination with Overall Attack% as A-stat 7/8% and the rest of the weapon should be decently high statted too.
- Enhanced Attack: X - Increases your base damage as passives or tarots do, so it’s very strong.
For an A8 wand these 3 stats are enough to deal the highest possible damage.
- Increase Damage to Monster Races: X% - As the name suggests it only works on monsters, so many A5, A6, A7 mobs and bosses.
The highest possible damage shell for a wand is completed.
- Increased Chance of Critical Hits - Good stat, but careful with your build. You cap at 100% Crit Chance so SPs that reach this mark don’t need it as much. Possible SPs to hit this cap are Assassin, DG, Blade.
- Increased Critical Damage - Generally a good stat on everyone but mage, but be careful as it’s not final crit damage like on SPs or Piercing Gaze. Therefore the damage increase by 50% sounds better than it actually is.
This concludes the highest possible damage shell for any weapon.
Possible other options:
- Increase SL Element/Attack Stat - Playable but not perfect. If you got this as A-Stat on your shell you can’t get 2 damage effects as options anymore, which limits your damage options.
As a B-Stat the max SL increase is 12, which makes it playable but you’re off 3 sl in your build. The biggest upside is that this shell option makes finding a support easier and cheaper. - Increase Damage to Low-Level Races: X% - Helpful in A5, A6 and A8 as it works on all small mobs. If you’re maxed out you deal so much damage that small mobs won’t be a problem anymore.
- (Sticks only) Undisturbed when Casting Spells - Good option to not get casting canceled anymore, but not mandatory.
Secondary weapon shell
Always aim for the following stats:
- Overall SL Stat - The maximum is 10.
- Increased SL Attack Stat - The maximum is 15.
- Increased SL Element Stat - The maximum is 15.
- Try to get at least 22/23 Attack SL and 22/23 Element SL in your set, so main weapon and secondary weapon combined.
- You can combine overall and individual increased SL option. However only the best individual of each stat and the best overall will be taken into account.
Runes
All of the options of the rune on your main weapon will be working if you're using your secondary weapon.
You can completely ignore rune powers for raiding.
There are 3 options you should aim for:
- All attacks are increased by X% - Same as in shell option effects. This one is simply the best, it increases your total damage dealt by the biggest amount. However, you need it well leveled up to make it worth.
- Damage dealt in PvE is increased by X% - The second rune skill you should always aim for.
- All attacks are increased by X - Increases base damage like Enhanced Attack. Pretty valuable.
Example
2/21 - Try to get 2 of the options listed.
While reaching for 11/21, make sure you don't have two upgrades in the same non-listed option. If so, depending on your budget, it's probably better to use Rune Removal Hammer on it.
11/21 - Try to have 2 of the options listed with a total of 5 upgrades and 3 other random options.
With that example, you can reach up a total of 11 upgrades on listed options by resetting the last upgrade with Rune Solvent for every unwanted upgrade.
- If you're wondering what that upgrades and their values are, feel free to check on Runes
- About Armour runes, since nothing brings damage, there's no need in minding it. However, if you're still is interested in it, feel free to check on Armour runes
Base weapon damage
Every weapon has a minimum and maximum Damage.
By rebetting the weapon to R8 these stats get rerolled too.
Aim for 10/20/30 damage off the max stat depending on how much money and time you are willing to spend.
This increases your base damage just as enhanced so don’t sleep on it.
Bow | Sword | Wand | Dagger | Gun | Crossbow | Fist |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1019-1335 | 1137-1355 | 1124-1369 | 852-1052 | 1079-1299 | 1028-1283 | 1101-1310 |
Armour and armour shell
Chance of all Negative Effects reduced: X% is the only relevant effect here.
Increase Fame gain by X% is however mainly used since you can get up to 50%. That option rolls only as B- on R3 and R4 shells .
Chance of all Blackouts reduced: X% can be used in Fernon.
If you're looking for a low extra damage boost, Breezy Tunic can be used as an archer. However, you'll lose a significant amount of HP and defense.
If you're looking for more survability, you can upgrade your armour to R8+8~10, even with fame option.
Specialists (SP)
Upgrading or buying a SP +20 is really expensive and should be one of the last things you do.
+15 SPs are sufficient enough in the beginning, since they are very cost-efficient.
Stat distribution
Crit based classes - 100 Attack SL and rest Element SL.
Mages - 100 Element SL and rest Attack SL.
- If you are rich enough to be the proud owner of a +20 SP, you can use 120 Attack instead of 100.
- +20 Renegades and Wild Keepers can skill 100 Attack SL 100 Element SL for Valehir/Laurena. This decreases your maximum hits but increases your consistency.
- In Alzanor, Seer SP can be changed from main Element to main Attack.
Perfection
Only Attack and Element perfections are relevant in raiding.
- One attack point increases your base damage by 10.
- One element point increases your fairy by 1%.
- The perfect SP is 55 Attack and 55 Element. However it's really unlikely to get perfect perfections.
- You'll more likely see people using between "60PVE" to "110PVE" to describe their SP, that means Attack and Element combined.
Crit based classes - Attack is better than Element, and should be focused.
However, Element still has a significant impact.
- +15, try to get atleast 40+ Attack and 30+ Element.
- +20, try to get atleast 50+ Attack and 40+ Element.
Mages - Attack is slighty better than Element.
- +15, try to get atleast 70PVE.
- +20, try to get atleast 90PVE.
Specialist wings
Mages only:
- Petal Wings are the best wings for mages by far since it increases non-critical damage.
It also gives 2 MS (Movement Speed).
However, it doesn't work for Dark Gunner since its a critical based SP.
All classes:
- Blazing Fire Wings for fire SPs.
- Frosty Ice Wings for water SPs.
- Archangel Wings for light SPs.
- Archdaemon Wings for shadow SPs.
Crit based classes with low elemental damages:
- Goddess Wings are viable for SPs that deal almost no elemental damage but crit a lot. DH/Sin/Zerker in Paimon or WK in Alzanor as examples.
- If you're looking for more details about wings effects, refer to Wings
Dragon Blessings
If you don't know what it is or how it works, refer to Dragon Blessing
The best blessing for any SP is almost always the same as the SP type.
When dealing little to no elemental damage Fire Dragon Gem is used.
This effect is only useful if the SP actively uses attack skills in raids.
Scouts and Seers synergize insanely well with it, where Destroyers and Holy Mages barely make any use out of it.
Gloves
- Dragonlord Gloves as it gives 5% fairy.
Boots
- Fernon's Shoes for 2 MS (Movement Speed).
- Dragonlord Shoes for 5% fairy and 1 MS.
- Try to get at least 100% all resistance with buffs. Getting more isn't any useful in raids.
Accessoires
Dragon Necklace Carved Dragon Bracelet Dragon Claw RingC80 pve Accessoires are the way to go, since the passive stats are pretty strong.
You don’t really need to option them but some max hp could come in handy.
Weapon skin
Imp Cudgel Skin (Permanent) Wildflower Bow Skin (Permanent) Uchiwa Skin (Permanent) Jasmine GauntletsThe Geisha weapon skins reign supreme.
It provides 5% fairy while draining 5 resistances and therefore are best in almost all the raids.
Trophy
- Twilight Gem III is the best overall raid Trophy.
- Chronos' Hourglass III can be used for supports as Destroyer or Berserkers as it increases your speed by 2.
Honorable mentions
- Ancient Scripts III for Mages, like Seer in Paimon/Alza and even better in flower phase as it synergizes well with softs.
- Mighty Axe III for melee if you don’t counter the element.
- Artemis' Quiver III for archers or DG if you don’t counter the element in raids.
Costume Wings
- Pumpkin Witch/Pumpkin Knight Costume Wings (Permanent) or Gingerbread Costume Wings (Permanent) - The cheapest option and the better for reputation enjoyers, since it gives 5% fame and 1 speed.
- Rocketeer Wings (Permanent) - They are the most used Wings because they deal bonus elemental damage while providing 1 speed so they are very flexible.
- Paimon's Costume Wings (Permanent) - Great damage but sadly no speed. Use these if you don’t have to run very far or using teleportation with mounts. However it is way more expensive than Rocketeer Wings (Permanent).
Costume Hat
- Viking Helmet (Permanent) - Highest pve damage of all hats. Use this in combination with anything but Vessel Event Pets.
- Vessel event hats - Only use these in combination with the fitting Vessel Event pet.
Costume
- Rocketeer Costume (Permanent) - Only costume providing damage and 2 speed.
Mounts
- Teleport mount - Will randomly teleport after using a Speedbooster.
Very helpful in almost all raids. - Dash mount - Teleports you few steps forward after using a Speedbooster.
Required in Kertos and Valehir to get past obstacles.
- In order to use mounts effects properly, you'll need Speed Booster, Magic Speed Booster (1 Day), Magic Speed Booster (3 Days) or Magic Speed Booster (7 Days)
Preparation before a Mara
Here's the list of the things you can prepare before a mara:
- NPC buffs: 500k for 1 hour of almost all regular buffs. They don't expire if you die.
- Tarot Card (The Devil): Works the same as Tarot Card (The Sun) and is a must have to any DD.
Supports can use Tarot Card (Fool) for 1 speed and some gold gain.
Lasts 3 hours. - Attack Potion: you can also use Alchemist's Beverage which is all 3 potions combined.
That's a cheap 20% damage for 10 minutes.
You can stack them to make it 60 minutes or more. - Fairy Booster: 30% fairy for 1 hour.
Can be a bit expensive but increase your damages for sure. - Ice Flower Oil: 5% damage for 10 mins.
You get them by doing the Daily Quest at Volcano Gate Priestess, Daily A5.2 hunting Achievement or spinning the God's Altar.
Progression Guide
In a MMORPG like Olympus there is no right or wrong when designing a character and what to buy first. Depending on the playstyle: PvP, farming, raid support, raid DD, focussed on cosmetics or any mix between those, different items in different order are needed.
Owning a debuff SP (Destroyer, DG, Berserker), PSP and teleport mount are the minimum requirements for Fernon, A7 and A8 raids.
It's recommended to start with cheaper items to form a basic set, then proceed to spend more and more money on single items.
Here are some price categories with items in any order:
From 0 to 200kk.
- Almost all passives books and skills.
- Fast shoes from Teoman in Nosville.
- The Ginseng trophy for 1 movement speed.
- A debuff SP.
- The C80 PvE accesoires.
- Teleport mounts or teleport mount boxes.
From 200 to 500kk.
- A cheap set of C60 EQ.
- Any perfection 100, +15 damage SP and the fitting SP Wings for it.
- Any 80% fairy.
- +5 tattoos.
- Any costume wings with 1 movevement speed.
- Any costume with 2 movement speed.
- Fernon's shoes for another 2 movement speed.
- Otter, Cowboy Bushtail or Pirate Bushtail.
From 500kk to 2.5b.
- C65 weapon worth upgrading to C80.
- Upgrading your C65 weapon to C80.
- The A8 hat or mask.
- Upgrading Twilight Gemstone to tier 3.
- A Geisha weapon skin.
- Panda, Lupis or Pix.
From 2.5b and beyond. (Should be done last)
