⚔️ SP Upgrading

Upgrading raises a Specialist Card from +0 to +20 — raw power. Costs and materials depend on which card you own, so instead of a wall of tables, pick your class and card below and the planner works out exactly what you need. Looking to stack bonus stats instead? That's the separate SP Perfection track.

Best case assumes every attempt succeeds first try. Typical and Unlucky run the real odds — including the pity counter — over 3,000 simulations, so they show what upgrading actually costs when attempts fail.
⚙️ How upgrading works
Upgrading is done at Malcolm Mix (the Alchemy Association in NosVille). Each attempt spends gold,
Angel's Feather Angel's Feathers,
Full Moon Crystal Full Moon Crystals, a protection scroll, and the special stones that match your card — every attempt, win or lose. You can queue 1–20 tries at once.
Every attempt rolls one of three results:
- ✅ Success — your SP gains one level.
- ➖ Fail — nothing changes; you just lose that attempt's materials.
- 💥 Break — this is what the protection scroll exists for. Upgrading with a scroll (the upgrade window always does) saves your SP — the break is neutralised and the level stays put. Upgrading without protection, a break sets the card's rarity to
-2: it is permanently destroyed — kept in your inventory but useless and un-upgradeable forever.
A protected break costs materials but never your card. The break chance is only dangerous if you run out of scrolls. Scroll tiers:
Lower SP Protection Scroll up to +10,
Higher SP Protection Scroll for +10→+15, and
Divine SP Upgrade Scroll for +15→+20.
- 🎯 Pity — after enough consecutive misses on the same card, the next attempt is a guaranteed success. The counter is stored on the card and bound to your account — it resets when you succeed, and wipes if a different account upgrades the card (so a half-pitied SP can't be handed off to finish).
- 🔒 Hidden odds — from +11 onward the game hides the success/break numbers in the window. The planner reveals the datamined values (marked 🔒).
- 📏 Job level — the card must reach SP job level 21 / 41 / 51 to enter the +5 / +10 / +15 brackets.
📦 Where to get the materials
🪶 Feathers & Full Moons
Angel's Feather and
Full Moon Crystal are the bulk upgrade fuel — stock up from NPC shops and general drops before a big push.
🛡️ Protection scrolls
Lower SP Protection Scroll,
Higher SP Protection Scroll and
Divine SP Upgrade Scroll keep your card safe on a break. Never upgrade without the matching scroll.
💎 +16→+20 stones
The "…of Completion" gems are high-level upgrade catalysts (and double as perfection stones). Best farmed from Act 4 raids — every boss drops 2 on death.
Act 4 raid stones —
Small Ruby of Completion,
Small Sapphire of Completion,
Small Obsidian of Completion and
Small Topaz of Completion (plus their Big variants) come from Lord Morcos, Lady Calvinas, Lord Hatus and Lord Berios — as ground drops, in their raid boxes, and from boxes like Caligor's Treasures and the Mystery Box of Completion. You can also farm the monster drops in Unknown Land (Act 4).
🗺️ Where to do it

Hermes
Perfection Trader · NosVilleFor bonus stats instead of levels, head to Hermes and follow the SP Perfection guide.
- Perfect early, upgrade with scrolls — perfection can't hurt your card, and a protected upgrade can't destroy it. Risk only comes from running out of scrolls.
- Batch your tries — queuing 10–20 attempts is far faster than clicking one at a time, and auto-stops at each level milestone.
- Farm Act 4 raids — the fastest source of the gems used for both perfection and +16→+20.
- Mind the pity counter — finish a card yourself; letting another account touch it wipes your progress toward the guaranteed success.
